WKC were the preferred air quality and noise specialists for the ESIA undertaken in Ghana, for a large gas fired power station. The project required both baseline surveys and air quality and noise modelling studies to be undertaken in accordance with the IFC General EHS guidelines. WKC’s environmental specialists visited Ghana for the fieldwork and baseline data collection component. Our in-house team of environmental modelling specialist prepared the air dispersion and noise modelling reports.
Alufer Mining Limited (Alufer) is developing the Bel Air Mine bauxite project (the Project), located in the Boffa prefecture of the Republic of Guinea (Guinea).
WKC Group were the selected specialist Environmental Consultants in Kenya for the a major thermal power project.
Zallaf Libya Oil and Gas Exploration (Zallaf) intends to develop Block NC200 and will install and operate an Early Production Facility (EPF), oil supply wells, water wells and other associated facilities. Libyan national legislation and Zallaf policies require that environmental risks are managed throughout the development of the proposed facilities, from design and construction through to their operation and decommissioning. To meet these requirements, WKC led an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for the Project in association with our Libyan EIA partners.
WKC formed part of a team of Mozambican Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) consultants that delivered the ESIA in accordance with the World Bank / IFC General Environmental Health and Safety Guidelines (EHS).

Environmental Consultants and Air Quality Specialists for the Kupferberg General and Hazardous Waste Disposal Facility Namibia (Project was for Air and Noise) Air Quality and Noise Consultant.
WKC undertook the update of the air quality and noise specialist studies for a 6 megatonne per annum Nigerian iron ore mine, beneficiation plant, pellet plant, direct reduced iron (DRI) plant and a 35MW power plant. The studies were undertaken at the request of international lenders and in order to satisfy the requirements of the IFC General EHS Guidelines (ESIA Nigeria). WKC used their experience as EIA consultants in Nigeria to successfully deliver the technical studies.

GHG and Climate Change risk assessment for a gold mine project in Sudan as part of the ESIA lender requirements (ESIA Sudan). WKC prepared the green house gas inventory and Climate Change Risk Assessment (CCRA) for a new open cast gold mine in Sudan.
