Flagship Projects in Iraq
Iraq/Kuwait Power Supply Project
Project to interconnect Kuwait 400kV Al Zour and Iraq Al Fao 400kV substations by a Double Circuit 400kV overhead transmission line covering 300 km.
WKC was commissioned to conduct the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment to lender and IFC performance standards in addition to the local regulations in both Kuwait and Iraq. Key to the Project was habitat evaluation which was surveyed by a combination of field surveys and drone flights. As well as climate change and human rights risk assessments.
