Air Quality and Noise Consultant for The Kinsevere Copper Mine DRC
Kinsevere is a copper mine located in the Haut-Katanga province about 30 km from Lubumbashi in the south of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). The copper is extracted from an open pit, with ground conditions allowing most areas to be mined without blasting. Following plant and grinding mill processing, acid-leaching, solvent extraction and electrowinning is used to plate the copper. WKC Group have had a long-standing relationship with the mine having the responsibility of undertaking the air quality and noise studies for the mine since 2011. WKC Group are the preferred air quality and noise impact assessment consultants in the DRC and have worked on both the Environmental and Social Imapct Assessment (ESIA) updates as well as compliance monitoring.

Mumi Sarl is an operating mining project and produces 200 000 tonnes of copper cathode and 23 000 tonnes of cobalt hydroxide per year in the Katanga Province of Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). WKC Group were appointed to assist with the update to the n integrated Environmental Impact Study (EIS) and Environmental Management Plan of the Project (EMPP) for the Project. As the preferred Air Quality and Noise Consultants in the DRC, our role included updating the air quality and noise impact assessment studies to lender standards.
