Cooling Tower Noise Calculator

What is a Cooling Tower?

This cooling tower noise calculator is based on the formula presented in Engineering Noise Control (by Bies and Hansen) which estimates the sound power level (Lw) of a cooling tower based on the cooling tower fan type (i.e. propeller or centrifugal type) and fan power (kW).

In this case, the Engineering Noise Control method only provides an estimate of the sound power level. To estimate the sound pressure level from a sound power level, our sound pressure – sound power converter tool can be used.
